Smackdown started with an injured Mark Henry coming out to the ring. The Big Show came out next and after a few choice words knocked out The World's Strongest Man with his Weapon Of Mass Destruction. As the Big Show left ringside, Daniel Bryan came running to the ring with a referee. He quickly cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and as soon as he rolled Mark Henry over the referee counted to three and Daniel Bryan was given the World Championship Belt.
Then Teddy Long came out and gave Bryan the bad news... Mark Henry was not cleared to wrestle so therefore the match was not official. Teddy forced Bryan to hand the title back to him and he gave it back to Henry. Teddy did give Bryan back his Money In The Bank briefcase. He also put Bryan in the main event fatal four-way for a new number one contender.
The match consisted of Randy Orton, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, and Daniel Bryan. For most of the match it was Barrett and Rhodes attacking Orton while Bryan was down outside the ring. In the end, Randy had Bryan knocked out in the middle of the ring, but Barrett pulled him outside, Cody went for the cover on Bryan but was reversed into Bryan's submission hold and Cody tapped out instantly. Bryan is now the number one contender!
He will face Mark Henry for the World Championship in a steel cage on a special live Smackdown on Tuesday. Mick Foley will be there as well.
