Hulk Hogan was asked on his Twitter about Bret Hart recently stating that Hogan was "scared" to face him when they were in WWE (link), writing, "very weak brother. HH"
Hogan was also asked who the one person he would have wanted to wrestle but never got a chance to was. Hogan replied, "stone cold."

Honestly, from the stories I've heard... After Wrestlemania 9 Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart were supposed to face each other for the WWF Championship at SummerSlam and Hulk Hogan was supposed to put Bret Hart over but he refused. Instead he dropped the title back to Yokozuna and he dropped the belt to Bret at Wrestlemania 10. Bret's consolation was the creation of the King Of The Ring PPV instead to put him over instead of Hulk Hogan. I don't get it, Hogan put over the Ultimate Warrior in the WWF and Goldberg in WCW but he has never put over Bret Hart in either company. Why not?
Meanwhile on the other side of things, Hulk Hogan is on Twitter insulting Bret Hart and at the same time saying that his dream match would be against Stone Cold Steve Austin. However, from everything I have ever heard, the original plan when Hogan was brought back into the WWE was to have him face Austin at Wrestlemania 18. Again, Hogan refused to put over Austin, and instead opted to put over The Rock. Why Hogan would turn down Austin I have no idea, and why he would still claim that is his dream match is even more confusing. It almost makes me think Austin was the one that turned the match at Wrestlemania 18 down.
Personally, I'm sticking with my original solution... have a Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania. Have Hulk Hogan put over Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same match. Pass the torch like he should have 10-20 years ago. Then have Bret and Austin pass it to the next generation!
Why Hogan would be against facing a star like Bret Hart is beyond me. He only ever wanted to pass the torch to the next huge steroid body-builder and never a major technically wrestling star. I was amazed when they actually got Hogan to face The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels... and what a disaster that turned out to be. Hogan refused to lose to Shawn, and Shawn decided to make Hogan look like a fool.
In my opinion, Hogan always dogged any real opponents that could either A out wrestling him (which was everybody) or B would be more over with the crowd than him, and now that is most wrestlers. Imagine the great matches he could have had if he just got in the ring and was willing to put over other majors stars that were on the same level as him rather than beat bums like Earthquake, The Big Boss Man, Zeus lol, and so many other losers and jokes. Hogan always seemed to keep his spot a novelty act and not a serious wrestling competition. He faced nobodies and it always ended the same way. Personally I would have loved to have seen him in the ring with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Jake The Snake Roberts, Lex Luger, any other main event stars and future stars that he could have helped and put over. Instead, when the WWF went with Bret, Hogan took his ball and went home. He went to WCW where he hogged the spotlight for another decade. This time stealing it from guys like Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sting, Lex Luger again, Bret Hart again, and countless others. He even brought Earthquake and The Big Boss Man with him when he left haha.
