Looks like Linda Hogan knew this was for the best. The 52-year-old ex-wife of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan and her much-younger beau Charley Hill, 23, decided to call off their engagement after some serious soul-searching and therapy.
“Ok... My status has changed. I am now single,” she wrote to her fans. “After the great therapy we had together and time to think and concentrate on who we are and who we want to be, Charley and I decided that we should each travel through life in different directions.”
Linda Hogan and Hill, who is one year younger than the Hogans’ daughter Brooke, began dating four years ago and revealed their engagement in 2010. Though the couple was set to be married last summer on Linda Hogan’s yacht Alimony, the pair opted to go to therapy instead, a decision that they spoke about on VH1’s “Couples Therapy.”
Following their divorce in late 2007 after 24 years of marriage, the duo became embattled in a series of back-and-forths after Linda Hogan claimed in her memoir that her husband was physically abusive during their marriage.
“(Hulk) tore my shirt. He threw lamps. He held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments, slamming doors, pounding walls,” she wrote.
The wrestler called his former wife “delusional” and “riding on the Hulk Hogan name.”
Soon, however, Linda Hogan will not have to rely on his well-known moniker: “It is a very positive step for Linda,” her attorney told E! News of her newly single status. “Linda is extremely busy developing her soon-to-be-released cosmetic line and in pursuing her several television projects.”
Personally, I Would Rather Have Brooke lol |
