According to the results of our poll, yes Shaq will be at Wrestlemania! I think its pretty obvious who he would be coming there to wrestle, the "Largest Athlete In The World" the Big Show! It always seems to be the Big Show who is forced to take part in these stupid celebrity matches. He has fought a boxer and a sumo wrestler at Wrestlemanias in the past.
Has the Big Show ever main evented or at least had a serious match at Wrestlemania?
His only main event as far as I can remember was at Wrestlemania 2000 when the Rock was wrestling Triple H and they wanted to add Mick Foley because he had announced his "retirement" that year. The storyline had the McMahons against each other and they would each be in the corner of their wrestler. Stephanie had married Triple H so she was with him. Vince was backing the Rock against Triple H. Linda is the one that gave Foley his job back for one night only. So Shane wanted to get involved and he picked the Big Show to be his guy. However, it was still a joke, all 3 turned on the Big Show and eliminated him in about a minute. Then it was a real triple-threat. At Wrestlemania 19 the Big Show was supposed to face the Undertaker, but they made it a tag-team match and Taker pinned Show's partner to win the match. Another failed attempt at a major role for the Big Show.
Now he brags about how he has had a 9 year drought at winning a World Championship, and he bragged that he would end it, but 45 seconds after he won his first World Title in 9 years he was pinned by Daniel Bryan. Now he holds the record for the shortest World Championship reign in history.
I really thought the Big Show was going to be something special. He seemed to step up when he was put against Brock Lesnar, which incidentally was his last Championship reign. But since Brock left the WWE its as if the Big Show did too... he might as well have, he hasn't done anything worth mentioning.
