Matt Morgan defeated Scott Steiner in the finals of an eight-man tournament to become the first champion on December 20, 2011. (This episode aired on tape delay on February 5, 2012). Matt Morgan only held the title for 1 day before losing it to Sir Brutus Magnus on December 21, 2011. Magnus still holds the title currently.
