Best Match @ Lockdown 2012

Bobby Roode
I've decided to close the poll for Best Match @ Lockdown. There were 3 days left to vote, but there did not seem to be much interest in this poll. I guess there wasn't much interest in Lockdown. There were only 9 votes so far, which is pretty bad considering all of the Wrestlemania polls received over 100 votes each. I guess that is a pretty good test of which one was a better PPV. Anyways, here are the results of which match was the best at Lockdown...
  1. Hardy 6 (66%)
  2. Lethal Lockdown 4 (44%)
  3. Main Event 3 (33%)
  4. Knockouts 1 (11%)
  5. Television 1 (11%)
  6. Knockouts Tag-Team 1 (11%)
  7. Tag-Team 0 (0%)
  8. Crimson 0 (0%)
Velvet Sky
So the winner is the match between Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle, which Jeff Hardy won with a Swanton Bomb off the top of the cage!

The second best match on the show was the infamous Lethal Lockdown match between Team Garrett and Team Eric... the Bischoffs. Garrett's team was an all-star team: Rob Van Dam, Ken Anderson, AJ Styles, and Austin Aries. Garrett pinned Eric for the win.

Oddly, the third best match on the PPV was the Main Event. Shouldn't the Main Event be the best match on a PPV? Seems like common sense. Well in this case it was just Beer Money, Bobby Roode vs James Storm. I think there is a lack of interest in their feud. This should have been the match that James finally won, but instead he Super-Kicked Bobby out the cage door and to the floor for the win. Bobby is still TNA Champion.

Hulk Hogan
There was a three-way tie with only 1 vote each between the Knockouts, Television, and Knockouts Tag-Team Championship matches.

But the real embarrassment is that the return match of the Motorcity Machine Guns, and the final showdown between Matt Morgan and Crimsion were both so bad that neither match received any votes. Having the Machine Guns lose was a mistake, and having Morgan get his foot caught in the ropes while Crimson escaped was lame.

For the record, this was a Sting PPV, and Hogan came in and tried to save it. But it was too late. The next TNA PPV Sacrifice will be a Hogan PPV and the main event is already booked between Rob Van Dam and Bobby Roode. If Rob Van Dam wins the TNA Championship it will automatically be the best TNA PPV in years!
