Impact Moves To 8pm

The company announced last week that Impact Wrestling would be moving up an hour starting on the 5/31 show, and would air from that point forward from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the decision was made in response to the NFL expanding its Thursday night coverage on The NFL Network. Those in TNA have talked about this as being a big issue come the fall. Going from 8-10 p.m. in the fall gives them a small jump on the NFL games, which start at 8:20 p.m., and also allows them to end before “Jersey Shore” starts, if that show will even be a factor come the fall.

Dixie Carter was on Busted Open on Sirius and said the new time slot will allow them to reach a younger audience and she claimed when kids aren’t in school, they have a high number of young viewers but it fluctuates based on what is going on in school.

It should also be noted that Hulk Hogan said that if TNA Impact went live it would solve 75% of the company's problems. While I'm not quite sure about that statement being true, I think they have too many problems to list, but I agree going live would be a big help. So would going on tour like the WWE instead of the same old studio every week. That would give them a more exciting audience. Anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if when the show changes its start time if it doesn't also go live. Just wait and see.
