Mickie Laree James (born August 31, 1979), is an American professional wrestler and singer of mixed Native American-Caucasian descent, currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where she is a former two-time TNA Women's Knockout Champion.
James began her professional wrestling career in 1999 as a valet on the independent circuit, where she was known under the name Alexis Laree. She trained in several camps to improve her wrestling abilities before working for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in June 2002, where she gained national attention. James' first country music album, Strangers & Angels, was released on May 18, 2010 on iTunes. On December 2, 2010, James released a new country single called, "Hardcore Country" which is also used as her TNA theme song. For her second album, James joined a Kickstarter campaign in order to partially fund the album. Fans who contributed donations will receive special items from the campaign. The online campaign was a success, with a total pledge of $16,500 out of a $5,000 goal. James has currently wrapped up recording her second album, which will be released in 2012.
James owns three Morgan horses named Rhapsody, Bunny and Casanova. After she has finished her wrestling career, James plans to own a farm and be an equine trainer. James also owns two dogs, one named Butch and the other named Elvis.
I've often wondered if Mickie was chosen for the whole storyline with Trish because she was actually gay. She played a character that had a lesbian crush on the Woman's Champion and she played that role very well. She stalked Trish, she told Trish that she loved her, and she even kissed Trish. During their match at Wrestlemania, Mickie even grabbed Trish inappropriately in-between her legs. I assumed that was planned but Mickie has said in interviews that it wasn't and that she actually got in trouble from Vince for doing it.

One of her finishing moves involved pulling the other woman's hair and head back and giving her a big kiss before she goes for the win. This move has even been featured in the Smackdown vs Raw video games. I know kissing isn't unheard of between the women in wrestling... Trish has also kissed Lita, Tara would kiss her tag-team partner Tessmacher in TNA. But Mickie made a habit of doing it with every women she wrestled.
It was rumored that she dated Joey Mercury, and was engaged to Kenny Dykstra...
but if those rumours are true then she isn't a lesbian... but she has the worst taste in men lol.
