WWE Talent Wellness Program... R-Truth Suspended

Actually Smoking On Raw
The WWE has a "wellness policy" which basically means they test their wrestlers and suspend and fine them if they have anything even weed in their system at any given time. Evan Bourne was suspended for 30 days because he smoked a substance called "Spice" and that is why Air Boom has not defended their Tag-Team Championships in weeks. Well the big rumour and problem with this is that not every wrestler is treated equally. If a mid-card wrestler fails a drug test he is told its an "automatic" suspension, however, when a main-event wrestler fails the same drug tests he is never suspended.

Obviously the company doesn't want to loose money because a major star can't be used for a month, but this double-standard is getting them in a lot of hot water.

For example, when a list of wrestlers who had been caught purchasing steroids was made public and Randy Orton's name was on that list he should have been punished just like the others, but of course he was not because he is Randy Orton, the second most important star in the company next to John Cena.

Well that cause a lot of controversy then, and now with this Evan Bourne suspension more problems have surfaced because Evan Bourne was not the only WWE wrestler at this party smoking this substance. However, he was the only one that was suspended for it. The other wrestler was not named and it was said that he was fined rather than suspended. Why you ask, because he was already booked in the Survivor Series main event!

That's right, either The Rock, John Cena, The Miz, or R-Truth also tested positive for this drug. Any guesses? Well lets see, as soon as the PPV was over, the very next night on Raw, The Miz attacked his partner R-Truth and knocked him out with a Skull Crushing Finale on the steel ramp. This "injury" could keep R-Truth off TV for a while. Maybe even 30 days? Also, wrestlers travel the road together in groups or partners, they room together and drive together. Any guesses who Evan Bourne's travel partner is? The answer, R-Truth. Needless to say this statement was just released by the WWE...

In accordance with the Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Ron Killings (R-Truth) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company's policy.

R-Truth was allowed to wait until after the PPV because he was needed, but Evan Bourne was expendable I guess. So even though they both smoked weed at the same party only one needed to be suspended right away.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing that R-Truth isn't being punished enough. Actually, I think 30 days is way too long. In fact I think any punishment at all is wrong. I am against this whole policy. They company got a bad reputation from steroids in the 80s so now wrestlers can't even smoke weed at a party. It's kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Luckily the new WWE Champion is straight edge lol.
